Greetings Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
It is with immense pride and honour that I extend a heartfelt welcome to each one of you to the 11th edition of Bosco MUN.
We find ourselves in a world defined by constant transformation, where shifting geopolitical landscapes, evolving alliances, technological advancements, and changing ideologies continually redefine the global order. Every generation inherits its own set of challenges, and every challenge presents an opportunity for leaders to rise above differences with wisdom, diplomacy, and conviction.
This year's theme, "Beyond Conflict," reflects the very essence of diplomacy. It reminds us that while conflict may be inevitable, it need not be perpetual. True leadership lies not merely in identifying divisions, but in transcending them through dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding. In an era marked by uncertainty and polarization, this conference serves as a platform to transform discord into consensus and differences into meaningful solutions.
From shaping the future of the Near East in the League of Nations through debates on imperial mandates and regional sovereignty, to navigating the political intricacies of Wilhelm's War Cabinet during the EMS Dispatch Crisis and the question of Alsace-Lorraine, and addressing the militarization of Lebanese territory in the Organization of Islamic Conference, every committee has been carefully curated to challenge your intellect, diplomacy, and resilience.
As the Eleventh Secretariat, we remain committed to fostering an environment that inspires critical thinking, constructive debate, and lifelong memories. We hope Bosco MUN not only refines your skills as delegates but also strengthens your belief in diplomacy as the bridge that carries humanity beyond conflict.
I look forward to witnessing an exceptional conference and wish each of you the very best for the deliberations ahead.
With Regards,
Harshvardhan Saraf,
Deputy Secretary General,
The Eleventh Secretariat,
BOSCO MUN 2026.
